Swiss Diamond International

A decade ago, Swiss Diamond International launched a worldwide unique and patented non-stick coating reinforced with real diamond crystals. Now, the company presents a new and even better coating: The Swiss Diamond HD coating. After four years of research and development, the company’s engineers in their HORT Coating Center AG in Switzerland have considerably improved the legendary diamond reinforced coating. The new Swiss Diamond HD non-stick coating stands out for its extended durability, enhanced non-stick qualities and improved corrosion resistance. To achieve this, it was necessary to test a variety of different new materials and subject them to numerous cooking, abrasion, and corrosion tests. After a long period of testing, the new Swiss diamond HD coating formula is now ready. It was used for the first time with the new Swiss Diamond HD PRO Stainless steel collection which has been launched this February. Starting this summer, the complete Swiss Diamond collection will be produced in HD quality. The improved coating will have no effect on the prices of the products whatsoever.

“We have taken pride in the development of the new non-stick coating,” states Amir Alon, CEO and owner of Swiss Diamond International GmbH. “Our engineers outdid themselves because it was difficult to improve our non-stick coating even further, since it had been the most durable and solid coating on the market for more than a decade.” Joachim Stein, director of HORT Coating Center AG and responsible for the development and production of Swiss Diamond products, agrees: “Even we were surprised how much the non-stick qualities improved with the new HD coating. We have modified our formulations and production process and managed to get an improved overall coating quality of more than 80% compared to our existing Swiss Diamond coating. And because the new coating is even more effective in combination with stainless steel, the HD coating works even better in our HD PRO Stainless steel frying pans.” Compared with the present, very durable and solid Swiss Diamond non-stick coating, the only visible alteration is a slightly different color. “We prefer to keep our focus on the technology and actual cooking qualities of our products because - in the end - that‘s the most important factor for our sophisticated customers. This is the reason why we - for example - don’t offer cookware in various colors as other producers currently do. From our point of view, that‘s just marketing but doesn‘t bring much to the products‘ features”, explains Joachim Stein.   

The new HD coating is set to be used on a wide scale and starting this summer the complete Swiss Diamond collection will be produced in HD quality and gradually sent to our international partners. Swiss Diamond International produces their high quality cookware exclusively in the company’s own factory in Switzerland and supplies its products into 38 countries worldwide. The company has its own distribution network subsidiaries in the USA, Japan, China, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland as well as independent distribution companies in the other territories.
