Savory Apple Stuffing

November 8, 2018
Recipe by: Carolyn Kuczynski

Whether you call it stuffing or dressing, this aspect of the holidays is highly personal.  Everyone has a stuffing from their childhood etched in their memory.  Whether your favorite is straight from a box or a recipe that was handed down through generations, be thankful for the memories you have and the opportunity to make new ones.

If you are creating your own traditions, my Savory Apple Stuffing can be tweaked a variety of ways.  Add a pound of cooked crumbled pork sausage if you like or a handful of dried cranberries or toasted chopped nuts. Stuffing is an opportunity to freestyle it a bit with flavor. Express yourself.

This year, if you’re hosting and friends and family are bringing sides and desserts, ask them to bring a copy of their recipes.  Recipes are memories you can preserve, recreate and pass down. Food is love and living history, savor it.
