The Best Skillet Brownie

Everyone loves brownies.  We have looked high and low to come up with the fudgiest brownies that we could make.  Rich, dark, and chocolaty, this brownie recipe uses cocoa powder, semi-sweet chocolate morsels, and of course butter to make an ultra-intense chocolate treat.  These brownies are ready to eat in just 50 minutes, so start now and you will be eating the best brownies you’ve ever tasted in less than an hour.

  • 1 c. unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 3/4 c. white granulated sugar
  • 1/4 c. light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate morsels

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)
  2. Combine butter, white and brown sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time continually mixing until thoroughly blended
  4. In another bowl; combine flour, cocoa powder and salt
  5. Gradually stir flour mixture into the egg mixture until blended
  6. Stir in the chocolate morsels
  7. Pour mixture evenly into an 11" (28cm) Swiss Diamond Skillet
  8. Bake in preheated oven until an inserted toothpick comes out clean, 35 to 40 minutes
  9. Remove, and cool pan on wire rack before cutting with a Swiss Diamond spatula
